Brickstone News – December

‘Tis the season for celebrations and spreading cheer to our neighbors and friends.   St. John’s considers you an important part of our “family” and we look forward to the time when we’ll be celebrating many occasions together at Brickstone.

We had a great turnout at our November 19 open house.   If you missed this opportunity to see our progress first-hand, you can check out some photos in the gallery.  You can always visit brickstone.org for more construction pictures and video clips.

Regarding site work, topsoil placement around the bungalows is ongoing, which will let us grade and seed in early spring.  Lighting is being installed.  Currently the lights around the east side of Brickstone Circle are operating dusk to dawn.

The table below includes current work for each group of homes:

GROUP A

 (east side of Brickstone Circle)

GROUP B

(south side of Brickstone Circle and east side of Cattail Crossing)

GROUP C

(west side of Brickstone Circle and west side of Cattail Crossing)

Several ready for final paint and touch-up.

Dry wall installation

Truss work and roof installation

Mechanical, electric and plumbing

Wall framing underway in all units

Start of interior painting

The overall construction schedule is tracking well.  We expect site work for Phase 2, which includes apartment buildings, townhouses and the village square, to commence in the near year.  Christa Constuction is planning to request temporary certificates of occupancy for bungalows before year end.  This will give us a much better idea of what the Town of Brighton will require before move-ins begin.

We wish you and yours happy holidays and health in 2012.  Thank you again for choosing Brickstone as your future home.
